Eek!

So I had bitten the bullet, got my tickets and grabbed life by the bollocks and as far as I was aware was ready for my far eastern adventure through some of the worlds most exciting and awe inspiring corners... Or not!

Yes I've got my tickets but truthfully as of now that's about it! I know I need my visas but haven't quite got around to it, I know I need my jabs but truthfully I'm a little sheepish on the whole subject, I've got clothes and keep telling myself I don't need anything else but the cold hard reality of it all is that I'm pretty ill prepared and as I type I have just 79 days to do all this and GET FIT!... EEK!

After dreaming for so long about travelling I know I will get all of the above complete! I mean I most probably won't ever have another opportunity to say f*ck it and f*ck off again! Im not tied down at all and before I get all grey (emotionally and physically) and whilst I still have my "save the world" head on I think there's no time like the present! Although my last statement is exactly the opposite of how I have felt for most of my life about the dreaded E ... Exercise of course!

Exercise and me have never really got on. I did do the gym once or twice but I always found it either too distracting (with sweaty men all around me) or I simply found an excuse to email, text or call (yes call) on every piece of equipment followed by a long soak in a jacuzzi before emerging red faced to later convince myself I was being super healthy... Or quite the opposite!

That's why when I found Jennie my super talented personal trainer friend was working from BodyLab, a personal trainer session style facility I was intrigued.

Ok I say intrigued and any of you that know me will know that's bull... Maybe I was happy for Jenny seeing her doing what she loved and doing so well at it! Maybe I ended up there one day and caught sight of the talent to be quickly convinced to join their 6 week plan! Maybe I recently took a walk up Cavehill and made it but half way up with a feeling like my heart was going to burst. Maybe I just need to get fit and fast if I'm going to go trekking whilst I travel... Maybe!!

Whatever the reason I'm doing this now and I went for my consultation and fitness test on Friday. Suprise surprise my fitness level was LOW but after the first few lunges, squats and press ups I could kind of get the idea... Jennie wasn't for letting me give up and so my journey began. My journey of 6 weeks, 12 session, 12 hours to travelling... Here goes!
