Whoop!

So it's been quite a few days....a lot has happened!

Its now just 11 days until i head away and I have been preparing like mad! Now with just a test bag pack and a few injections to get I at last feel on track for the adventure of a lifetime.

What's not so ready and on track is my fitness regime. I could at this point lie through my teeth and say I have been working out and eating really well but the truth is I have actually been so busy I havnt had the time! I will make time though and on the upside I am now just a few pounds of my 3 stone loss goal!

Part of my problem is that it is so close! I have been working like mad but for all that I've planned to stay in and be a good boy anyone that actually knows me, knows that that plan was always to be doomed to failure. I had a great night partying hard for my mum and dad's 25th wedding anniversary on Friday....

To cure my hangover and in the intention of finding a little inner peace jennie and i have been mountain climbing and meditating once again....

...from there we pretty much partied all weekend!

This week has been less than glamorous though on the upside we are now half way through it! Onwards and upwards... to this weekend ;)

Break :)

So it's nearly been a week since Sunflower Fest and believe me it's taken me nearly a week to recover!

On the upside I had met my "1 stone in 1 month" goal on Monday and lucky for me Jennie has been sunning herself in the south of Spain so I've had a welcomed physical break from the gym.

At this point I would normally be writing is news of me shoving half of cadburyland down my throat but I have actually been very well behaved. I wouldn't go as far to say that I have missed the gym but apart from the obvious benefits I actually miss the stress relief it brings.

My stress level has been through the roof this week. I've had weddings, shoots, a show and numerous personal clients and with nothing but a sneaky fag to chill me I've been craving the release Jennie and the gym brought.

I have been very very stressed but as of late today I've been super happy. Today brought great news from a few separate projects including some of my recent work being featured with worldwide fashion magazine TWO and news that pictures I recently worked on with Local designer Lisa McCabe being sent forward for press along with the official press release for this years Belfast FASHIONWEEK.

I'm started my weekend with a fresh head. I start happy and although I have very little planned (to save the pennies) I simply can't wait the mear 22 until I fly off to the Far East!!

Stone?

So I did promise to write again on the 10th but after a weekend of festival fun at Sunflower Fest in Hillsborough I was fucked! Yes it's crude but true...

There was no way I was writing anything on Saturday and I couldn't stand for most of yesterday so I wasn't going to risk writing and proofing such big news then...

My "My 1 stone in 1 Month challenge" is now complete!

After starting last Month and with quite a few slip ups along the way the end daye had arrived on Saturday. I have been weighing myself about once a week on various scales but as you all know your always a different weight on different scales so I met Jennie extra early and after a quick jaunt in the gym I stood on the scales that mattered.....

I lost 12 pounds!

Ok so it wasn't a stone but after dancing my feet off in the mud on Saturday evening through Sunday I stood on the scales this morning and I had lost another few pounds, I did it!

A few days late but still the same stone lighter.... I am so happy! :)

Camp!

Weekdays are not my friend! Im offically over worked, under loved and today Ive been stabbed 3 times in the name of vaccination! Grrr

On the other hand I LOVE my weekends!

On Saturday after Mariannes charity cut for The Little Princess Trust Jennie and I got packed and headed South. The plan was to drive to wherever the road decided to take us and with our pop up tent and various other bits and bobs we had nothing to lose.

We ended up in not so sunny Newcastle and straight away headed for the beautiful Mourne Mountains. Once we got high in the mountains the sun came out and after an hour or 3 searching for the perfect place to camp we settled on a naturally forested area a good few miles from our car adjacent to Tollymore.

Now I must make it clear this isn't something we do everyday and after deciding to trek we had left the BBQ at home. Bad food it was but after a 2 miles walk, hours spent collecting wood, that river swim there and back plus Monday and Tuesday spent in BodyLab I'm feeling great again!

Suppose I better be with August 10th and my "1 stone in 1 month challenge" date looming! Eek!

Chop!

So I haven't been to BodyLab... Booooo! Nah I've actually been sweet. I've been up to lots with Jennie again!

Last week was a mixture of extreme stress and elation resulting in extreme eating followed by the complete opposite. I think that's my problem, too much of a good/bad thing and the waste ground which is my body resulting from these extremes.

On the up side I did make it to BodyLab a few times during the week and on my "one stone in 1 month challenge" I'm en route to my target for the 10th of this month!

After my week I needed a break and made my way down to Jennies on Friday night. I had booked a few days off months ago and thank god! Busy doesn't say it on the run up to beginning my Far Eastern fable and with everyone wanting what seems every part of me I was glad to chill with some super healthy food before Saturday.

Saturday came and with it was a day unlike any other. For once my day wasn't all about me, Saturday was a day for Jennies amazingly inspirational sister Marianne!

Marianne is downs and had decided to cut her 22 inch plus hair off in aid of Clic Sargent and A charity set up to help young cancer sufferers in their fight by supplying children's wigs made from donated hair, The Little Princess trust.

That morning Marianne was as cool as a proverbial cucumber and on the opposite I was in no short terms shitting myself! I don't know why because I'm a very confident person and I'm extremely confident in what I do but there's something inside from years of salon styling that say with hair this long don't cut it all off!

Through sweat and a few scary points where I didn't think mariannes extra thick hair wouldn't cut we did it! Marianne was elated with her new cut and overall raised over £1600 in the process!
